These are the most important exponents of the genius loci of Como, and it is to them that the Park “From Pliny to Volta. A journey in human science” is dedicated. The 15 itineraries you will find in this guide are in the footsteps of these great men and of other important figures who were influenced by them and/or were inspired by the same landscapes: from Leonardo da Vinci to the Shelleys, from Leopardi to Hitchcock, from Foscolo to Hesse. Biografia dell'autorePietro Berra (1975) was born and bred in Como. As well as being a journalist for “La Provincia”, the local newspaper, he is the editor of its weekly cultural supplement “L’Ordine” and has published 25 books of poems, fiction, and essays. In 2017 he set up and now oversees an association for the promotion and regeneration of the Como area called Sentiero dei Sogni. He is also responsible for devising the park “From Pliny to Volta. A journey in human science”, a project aimed at systematising inspiration trails around the Lake Como area. |
